The name "Beata Giovannina" has its historical origins in 1925, when Mrs. Teodolinda, the owner of this place, devoted to Saint John, moved to compassion by the hard work of many so called "Pica Sass" which passed in a boat to go to work in quarry, decided to cook every day for these hevyworkers.
For these "Pica Sass" young and old, this place became an oasis of refreshment, and in their profound gratitude, changed the name of Mrs. Teodolinda into "Beata (Blessed) Giovannina".
